Sunday Sausage Stand

Together with Le Bon Funk’s friends, Drei from Park Bench Deli and Alan from Rempapa, Sunday Sausage Stand is a pop-up serving up seven different housemade sausages, with sizzling sides, soft serve ice cream, alongside natural wines and other thirst quenchers.
I had the opportunity to design the event poster and Instagram post for their event at Le Bon Funk Club Street on 19 January 2025.
Brief
Le Bon Funk is kicking off a series of pop-ups in 2025, starting with Sunday Sausage Stand. This event marks the gradual evolution of its visual identity, introducing more dynamic design elements while preserving its signature refined simplicity. To ensure a smooth transition, the design will maintain key elements from the existing style guide, such as its colour palette and use of negative space
The Initial Concepts
Concept 1
I designed this poster with a focus on simplicity and energy, making it hardworking and visually engaging. The playful, hand-drawn style emphasises the event's casual charm, while the looping "S" in "Sunday Sausage Stand" mimics the smoke rising from freshly cooked food.
Concept 2
This poster was crafted to embody a theatrical and lively vibe, spotlighting the sausage as the star of the event. This creates a sense of focus and intrigue, while the quirky, hand-drawn characters add an approachable, playful charm. Bold colours and expressive typography ensure the event feels dynamic.
Le Bon Funk chose Concept 1 to keep the first poster of 2025 closely aligned with its original branding, incorporating subtle updates such as colour adjustments and refined negative space. Concept 2 remains a strong contender for future event designs.

Concept 1
This vibrant illustration places the sausages playfully around the bold title, mimicking a communal eating space and amplifying the shared joy of gathering, like a visual feast! The pops of yellow condiments and squiggly lines add energy and movement to this feast.
This edit was selected, with the only feedback being a request for a version with a reduced color palette.
Concept 2
This cheerful illustration screams good times! The cozied up sausages bring all the feels of a hearty Sunday hangout with your favorite people. Big, bold text with the juicy red sausages grab your attention right away, while pops of sunny yellow and cool blue keep things fresh and fun.
